About the Doctors

Dr. Kelsey Rockey
Dr. Rockey is a compassionate and highly skilled dentist who shares our commitment to providing exceptional care in a warm and welcoming environment. She and her husband Carl love living in downtown Harrisonburg, near the JMU campus, where Carl is a professor in the College of Business. They have two small kiddos; Caroline and Gabriel, who keep them on their toes! In her free time, Dr. R enjoys baking, thrifting, hiking, travel, and hosting friends and family.
Dr. Rockey attended the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where she graduated with distinction and multiple awards in leadership, research, and restorative dentistry. Dr. Rockey completed a post-graduate Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at UTHSC, where she gained considerable experience in all aspects of general dentistry; with a focus on complex treatment planning, surgery, endodontics, implant and cosmetic dentistry.
She has practiced family dentistry in the Valley since 2016, and is committed to forming lasting relationships with her patients. She stays at the forefront of advancements in dentistry by actively participating in continuing education, and is incredibly passionate about giving her patients the best possible information and gentle experience. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Virginia Dental Association.

Dr. Robert Harris
Dr. Bob Harris is a graduate of the Virginia Commonwealth School of Dentistry. He earned dual BA/BS and MS degrees at the University of Georgia and did doctoral work in biology at Cornell University as a Cornell Presidential Fellow. Following dental school, he was selected for an advanced general dentistry residency in the US Air Force Medical Corps. He served on active duty as a dentist with the Air Force’s 49th Medical Group at Holloman AFB, New Mexico, providing dental care for the pilots and crew of the 49th Fighter Squadron and other units. He was awarded an Air Force Commendation Medal for his service and was recognized as the 49th’s 2013 Clinical Dentist of the Year.
With his military serivce complete, Dr. Harris and his family were excited to return to Virginia in 2015, where his wife has roots in Broadway going back many generations. Dr. Harris believes in providing excellent dental care with kindness, gentleness, and a smile.
